The holiday season is one of the most popular times to give back during the year. Oftentimes, organizations pop up for the sole purpose of serving during the holidays. On the other hand, Christmas Charities Year Round (CCYR) does essentially what its name suggests. They take the spirit of giving that is developed during the holiday season and make it last throughout the rest of the year.
Founded in 1949, this organization’s deep-rooted history and tenure have established a system for “improving the quality of life year-round for Madison County residents in need by providing services at no cost.” Outside of holiday gifts and meals, they also serve as a valuable resource providing clothing for infants, children, teens, and adults. Additionally, they provide beds and other furniture for those who struggle to afford these necessities, along with gathering medical and assistive technology for those in need.
After hearing the incredible work CCYR does, we here, at Jon Peters Agency were inspired to get the word out and start contributing in any way we can.
